Runaways is a five part short film series based on the legendary Dragon Ball manga by Akira Toriyama. Runaways takes place in the early Dragon Ball years as Goku and Bulma embark on an adventure. This panel deals with the process of analyzing original art to create cosplay. Our experts will be covering methods used to create a design from original 2D concept art, interpret the design and finally build from that plan to a 3D life size scale. The panel will be covering the practical methods used to create or commission a design, build based on reference kits and how to translate game, comic or anime characters into reality.
This panel outlines the common methods for creating armour and props with various thermoplastic materials. From pattern to finished product, this session will have a live demonstration of several different thermoplastics and will allow audience members to work hands on with the various materials. A variety of foams will be discussed, with examples on how you can use them to create large scale armour builds and props.
